MUKT MUKH — WHY I’M DOING THIS
Creativity is not a luxury.
It is a right.
This is where everything begins.
I have seen what happens when a child discovers their voice through art —
how their world opens,
how their imagination expands,
how they begin to believe they truly belong.
And I have also seen the opposite.
What happens when a child is never given that chance.
When creativity is silenced, delayed, or dismissed.
When expression is replaced with limitation.
Through my study of psychology—of stress, learning disabilities, and trauma—
I have come to believe that many struggles we carry into adulthood
are rooted in something deeply simple:
a childhood where creativity was never allowed to fully live.
Art is not decoration.
It is not secondary.
It is essential.
It has the power to lift the poverty of both mind and body.
It restores dignity.
It awakens purpose.
It gives language to what we cannot otherwise say.
When we find our art,
we begin to truly live.
Real change does not arrive loudly.
It does not begin in headlines or grand declarations.
It begins quietly —
in classrooms,
in community halls,
in overlooked and forgotten spaces
where someone dares to imagine something better.
This is that beginning.
Wayanad has waited long enough.
We are not lacking in talent.
We are not lacking in culture.
We are not lacking in will.
We are only lacking the space.
And this is personal.
My family still lives in Wayanad.
This is home.
I want the next generation—our children, our communities—
to have access to art not just in schools,
but as a living, lifelong experience.
I want to help build a future where artists are not rare,
but nurtured.
Where creativity is not an exception,
but a foundation.
Where artists become educators,
and educators shape generations.
This is more than a project.
This is a responsibility.
This is about creating space —
for expression,
for belonging,
for possibility.
This is about giving back what should have always been there.
This is why I’m doing this.
